This year’s Autumn Show promises to be the best yet as the show continues to grow in popularity. Bride-to-be Diane Lawrence and groom-to-be Scott Cosgrove were especially delighted they decided to attend the January event as Diane was thrilled to learn she was the winner of a £400 voucher towards her wedding dress, courtesy of 'Our Day Bridal Wear'. The couple are being married on 2nd May 09 at Ardoe House Hotel, Aberdeen and they have booked 'Slinky' as their wedding band for the reception.

The January show was so successful that already the exhibitor space at the November 08 event is all but sold out. The show is truly unique as exhibitors showcase the very latest the wedding market has to offer and the numerous wedding bands and wedding entertainers showcase their talents, to the assembled brides, grooms and their families.

Organizers Elite Promotions were delighted with the turnout and the feedback from the various exhibitors. The Entertainment Showcase was particularly successful this year and went a long way towards Elite booking more wedding entertainment in January 08 than in any single month since they started in business almost 20 years ago!! Not only that, but they then proceeded to beat that record figure in February!! It will be no surprise that they are now considering further expansion within the wedding sector, details will be announced shortly.

"What a fantastic idea to have a Wedding Exhibition and an Entertainment Showcase on the same day. My fiancé and I arrived just after it opened at noon intending to stay for an hour or so. The atmosphere at the show with music playing and a roving magician throughout the day was fantastic. We ended up staying until after 4pm. We also booked our photographer, wedding florist and I have since ordered my wedding ring from the jeweller who was exhibiting at the show. Thanks to everyone who made it such a fun day." "We are a new band on the wedding scene in Aberdeen and must admit we were very nervous to be playing at such a high profile event, but everyone was so nice and helpful. One of the other bands 'Burlesque' could not have done more, and made us very welcome. We had a great time during our 30 minute set and we were thrilled at the reaction we received from the crowd. Brides, grooms, members of other bands and even exhibitors were saying we did well and it is hard to describe the fantastic atmosphere created at the show. Being heavily pregnant I did consider giving the show a miss, but you don’t get a chance to perform at this show very often so I decided to go ahead, bump or no bump! I am really glad we took up the invitation. We were delighted to gain four confirmed bookings on the day and since the show we have had another five confirmed with other dates being held provisionally. What a day !!"
